FAQ concerning Corona, Covid-19, Sars-CoV-2
When do I get the result from my corona test?
PCR:
If you were tested before 12:00 you will get the result and the certificate of the result the same day before 20:00.
If you were tested after 12:00 you will get the result and the certificate of the result the next day before 20:00.
Antigen test:
If you were tested before 12:00 you will get the result and the certificate of the result the same day before 20:00.
If you were tested after 12:00 you will get the result and the certificate of the result the next day before 20:00.
For the antigen test we can tell you result within 30 min but not give you a certificate. For travel certificates and other certificates see the rules above.
What does a test cost?
All prices are including a travel certificate/ medical certificate.
The prices are the same on weekends and evenings.

How do I receive my results/ travel certificate?
Since 2021-08-11 we as one of the first 10 clinics in Sweden have been issuing Swedish versions of "EU digital COVID certificate" using the Swedish eHealth agency.
In practice this means that in order to get your result digitally you unfortunately need to have a Swedish personnummer, BankID and a digital mailbox (e.g. Kivra or Digimail).
If you are lacking Swedish personnummer, BankID or a digital mailbox. You will need to come and pick up a physical copy of the certificate. You can pick it up the following day.
I have symptoms of Corona, can I get tested?
Yes.
For the safety of everyone, you will get tested outside and will not be allowed to enter our clinic.

What language is the travel certificate or certificate in?
English.
There are not so many people in other countries that understand Swedish :'(
What lab are you using?
Our PCR samples are analysed by Life Genomics in Gothenburg/Göteborg that we share office with.
Life genomics is accredited according to ISO 15189 by Swedac.
It says "not detected" on my results what does it mean?
"Not detected" means that results is negative. In other words the analysis could not detect any Sars-CoV-2 virus and the result is negative.
This means that you do not have an ongoing Covid-19 infection.
Will I receive a travel certificate or a certificate of the result?
Yes.
A medical certificate that can be used for traveling is always included in the price.
Do I need to have a personnummer or BankID?
No.
Since 2021-08-11 we are sending our certificates via Swedish eHealth agency as "EU digital Covid certificates". In order to access the digital version of the results you unfortunately need:
1. Swedish personnummer
2. BankID
3. Digital mailbox
If you lack any of the three you will have to come and pick up a physical copy the next day. Sometimes we can arrange it for the same day. But at this point 2021-08-15 we can not promise to do
that for everyone. So contact us ahead of testing if you need it the same day. and lack the above mentioned 3 things.
How is testing done?
PCR- The test is done with a swab through the nose to the nasopharynx. Testing takes 20 seconds in the nasopharynx.
Antigen test- Testing is done in each nostril for 5 seconds in each.
What information do you need from me?
Name, telephone number, email, and personnumer or date of birth.
If you are traveling we also want to know where and when you will travel.
For everyone traveling, we recommend that you bring your passport that you will travel with so we can add your passport number to the travel certificate and avoid trouble for at the border.
Can you print the certificate for me, stamps and other official stuff is required?
Since 2021-08-11 we are issuing "EU digital Covid certificates" which, according to our understanding, should be recognised in the whole of EU.
If you are travelling to a country where that kind of EU certificates are not accepted please contact us ahead of testing and we will most likely be able to help you.
The country I am traveling to requires a specific format or paper filled in, can you help me?
So far we have helped customers traveling to Thailand, Japan and Denmark, and other countries that require specific papers. We have always managed to help our customers just contact us in advance here or at info@gendoktorn.se
How can I pay?
Payment is done by card or Swish.
We accept the following cards:
Visa, Mastercard, American express, JCB, China union pay, Discover, Maestro, Visa electron, V pay.
We also accept payment with:
Apple pay
Samsung pay
Google pay
Can you confirm my booking?
Sadly no.
Due to the huge interest and the great number of questions we do not have the possibility to confirm bookings. You will get a booking confirmation from boka.se
Just remember to check your junk folder if you have not received one.
What date and time will it say on the travel certificate/medical certificate?
The date and time of testing.
What is the difference between Corona, Covid-19, and Sars-CoV-2?
Sars-CoV-2 is the scientific name of the virus.
Covid-19 is strictly speaking the name of the disease and short for "coronavirus disease 2019"
Corona is the name of the group of virus that Sars-CoV-2 belongs to. Corona is also what Sars-CoV-2 is called by most people.
PCR, Antigene and antibodies what is the difference?
The tests can be split into two categories the first being tests that detects an ongoing infection. In this category we have:
- PCR
- Antigen test
PCR is the one most commonly used for travel.
Antigen testing is approved for travel to some countries.
The second category being the detection of antibodies which shows if you have had a corona infection, in this group we have:
- Antibody testing
Do you have face masks?
Yes.
If you are traveling we offer it without extra cost.
Do you offer drop-in testing?
No.

Antigene tests, are they reliable?
Yes and no.
As the first clinic in Sweden we started offering an antigen test from LumiraDX that is analysed with a microfluidic immunofluorescence assay method. This gives a 97.6% sensitivity
after 24 hours with symptoms. The public health care sector in and araund Gothenburg, VGR, is using the same test.
There is also lateral-flow antigene test with a sensitivity around 70-80%. These have such a poor quality that we do not offer them.
